WIMAX stands for worldwide interoperability for microwaves is a wireless technology that helps to transfer the data rate at very high speed. NTC introduces WIMAX for the first time in Nepal. NTC used to provide the WIMAX only for the cooperate user but the WIMAX can be used by normal or ordinary user as well from kartik 21 2069 B.S. As there is strong competition between NTC and NCELL this publicly accessible high speed 4G wimax technology hope to increases the NTC internet users. It is good new news for ordinary users that uses the internet for the limited amount. As NCELL have the fastest internet connection but it sucks with the money the ultimate solution was ADSL. But the people are upset with the ADSL because of very slow speed. The new technology lunched by NTC i.e. WIMAX is going to solve the problem because the wimax is around four to five times faster then 3G wireless.
1. Where to get WIMAX inside the Kathmandu valley?
No wories!! It is not necessary to stand on long queue for WIMAX we can easily get the WIMAX device either from Sundhara or Jawalakhel NTC counters. It can be available in private sellers of Putalisadak, Durbarmarga, Kupondol and New Baneshwor.
2. What about the WIMAX technology outside the Kathmandu valley?
There are no private retailers of the NTC new technology WIMAX they need to contact the nearest Telecom to get the services.
3. What are different speeds and volume of WIMAX available?

4. What are different discount offers?
NTC provides the different package either for one month, three month and a year. NTC does not provides any discount for the a month packages. It provides the 50% discount for the three month package and 15% discount for the a yearly package.

It depend upon the available of NTC tower
a) If the tower is located 5 to 20 km away from locations then we need to use the OUTDOOR CPE.
b) If the tower is located around 4 km away from locations then we need to use the INDOOR CPE.
c) If you want to use the NTC WIMAX technology for the single use and if your locations lies between the 1 to 1.5 km away from the NTC tower then the USB DONGOL CPE is the best option.
